The Dream Marches On Youth Educational Tour  –  March 23-27, 2015

This event in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery March and hosted by the City of Montgomery and the Montgomery County Commission will bring 7th through 12th grade students together during the week of spring break to learn and experience the events surrounding the Selma to Montgomery March Voting Rights March.

Students will travel to Tuskegee and Selma, Alabama to learn about the student movement 50 years ago and participate in the reenactment of the last leg of the March starting from the grounds of the City of St. Jude and ending at the steps of the Alabama State Capitol. The students will also participate in student conflict resolution training, learn positive means of social media and understand how to become positive advocates for today’s challenges of youth and young adults.
