MONTGOMERY – The City of Montgomery and Montgomery County will host the first event in a community informational series, Families, Organizations & Communities Uniting in Service (FOCUS), November 13 at 6 p.m. at Gateway Park Lodge.
FOCUS Montgomery’s first meeting will highlight information on community activities in West Montgomery, including areas west of Court Street, from organizations providing community services. Each organization will share information at tables with staff available to answer residents’ questions about their programs. City representatives will also share information as a part of the series.
“FOCUS is a way for us to better connect our citizens to the information they need and encourage everyone to come together to benefit our community,” Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange said. “Each event will take place in a specific region of our city, which will enable us to drill down and focus on information and entities impacting each geographic area. At the end of the day, this series will illustrate community development is a community-driven effort occurring in collaboration with the City and County.”
